(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Oklahoma wrestler Danny Hodge was recommended by the Senate Business and Labor Committee as the governor's nominee to serve on the Oklahoma Professional Boxing Commission.
The 68-year-old Hodge's name will go on to the Senate.
Hodge wrestled at Perry High School and the University of Oklahoma. He was the outstanding wrestler in the N-C-A-A tournament in 1956 and 1957. Hodge wrestled in the Olympics and later boxed and wrestled professionally.
