(Holdenville-AP) -- Add escapee in front of Billy Hicks' name again. For the third time this year, the 34-year-old man has escaped from a jail.
This time, Hicks overpowered a Hughes County jailer overnight to break out of the Hughes County Jail in Wewoka.
Authorities in Hughes and Pottawatomie counties are searching for Hicks this morning.
Hicks' last escape came in March when he broke out of the Pottawatomie County Jail. He kept Shawnee area residents on edge for two days before authorities captured him. He stole a woman's vehicle at knifepoint before being captured.
Hicks had been held in Shawnee on eight felony counts, including burglary, auto theft and escape. He was transferred to the Hughes County Jail after his last Pottawatomie County breakout.
