(White House-AP) -- Even though it hasn't happened yet, President Clinton is declaring Sunday’s Million Mom March a success.

He says the march to demand tougher gun laws has already spawned a national grass-roots campaign. And in his weekly radio address, he says that's had an impact both in Washington and in states that have recently enacted new gun controls.

The president won't be marching Sunday. But he's invited a thousand of the march organizers to a morning rally on the South Lawn of the White House.

In his radio broadcast, Clinton said the march is proving the gun lobby is "no match" for America's moms. But he warns victory won't come quickly, adding, "We have so much work still to do."
