(Arlington, Texas-AP) -- The Texas Rangers have brought up Class AA Tulsa Drillers manager Bobby Jones as interim replacement for first-base coach Ed Napoleon.

Napoleon retired from Johnny Oates' coaching staff Monday, citing the need to be with his family.

Jones played in the Washington Senators and Rangers organizations from 1967. He's been a minor league manager in the Rangers organization for 13 years.
