CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) — Jim Davis, who has led Clemson to the NCAA women's basketball tournament in 12 of his 13 seasons with the team, has signed a new five-year contract worth at least $200,000 per year.
Last season, Davis coached Clemson to a 19-12 record and an NCAA tournament appearance in what was supposed to be a rebuilding year. He has a career record of 297-136, including 278-128 at Clemson.
Davis' contract includes a base salary of $130,000, a guaranteed annuity of $35,000, another $35,000 guaranteed from the school's shoe contracts and use of two cars. There also are incentive clauses based on the team's performance and graduation rates.
