A plane crash at Tulsa’s R.L. Jones Airport had emergency crews scrambling.
A Tulsa pilot and his passenger say they are happy to be alive after their plane flipped while taking off.
The two men were taken to Saint Francis Hospital for observation. That’s where we talked to them. They didn’t want to go on camera but the pilot did say he lost control on the take-off, hit a sign and flipped his plane.
He’s been flying for three years and was just taking a short flight in the 1946 Cessna 140. The plane was valued at around $15,000.
Federal Aviation Administration investigators are expected from Oklahoma City to investigate the crash on Monday.
The two men were treated and released from the hospital.
