(Edmond-AP) -- It's been here before but with the 25th anniversary of the fall of Saigon just two days away, the arrival of the "Vietnam Wall Experience" seems all the more timely.
The traveling replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall will open Saturday at Mitch Park in Edmond.
The three-quarter size, simulated black granite structure lists the names of the more than 58,000 people who were killed in the conflict, including 990 Oklahomans.
Sunday will mark 25 years since the United States pulled its forces out of the southeast Asian country.
Pat Wilson remembers the first of nine Edmond residents killed in the war. She says her brother-in-law Johnny Wilson was very proud to serve his country. The traveling wall will be on display 24 hours a day through Monday.
