(Norman-AP) -- Oklahoma offensive coordinator Mark Mangino says what you saw in last Saturday's Red and White game may not be what you see this September.
Mangino says he hopes his offensive unit functions a little better. Oklahoma threw the football forward, backward, ran reverses and in practice even ran formations called the Ninja.
Mangino says the offense needs to develop its rhythm. And quarterback Josh Heupel is getting used to new receivers.
But it was the defensive squad that made most of the highlights.
Head coach Bob Stoops has his top defensive squad going against his top offensive squad. Stoops says he thinks sending good on good yields more fruit than working against reserves.
