OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Here are the conditions at Oklahoma lakes as reported Wednesday by the state Department of Wildlife
Conservation and lake rangers.

CENTRAL
Arbuckle: Elevation normal, water 60 and clear. Black bass good;
sand bass good on small white jigs and inline spinners in the upper
arms; crappie good on minnows and jigs, 15-20 ft.
Hefner: Elevation 1 ft. above normal. Channel catfish fair on
worms, liver and cut bait; crappie good on minnows and jigs near
the docks.
Konawa: Elevation normal, water 66 and clear. Black bass fair on
plastic worms, 4-5 ft., in the weed beds; sand bass and hybrids
fair on minnows, jigs and shad, 15 ft., in the discharge canal;
channel catfish good on chicken liver, 15 ft., in the discharge
canal.
Murray: Elevation 5 ft. below normal, water 60 and clear. Black
bass good on plastic worms and medium-running lures; sand bass and
crappie good on minnows and jigs; channel catfish good on worms.
Overholser: Elevation 1 ft. above normal. Hybrids good on
shrimp, liver and cut shad; channel catfish good on worms, liver
and cut shad.
Thunderbird: Elevation below normal, water 53. Crappie good on
minnows and jigs, 6-8 ft., around brushpiles; saugeye fair on
worms, 3-6 ft., off points.
NORTHEAST
Carl Blackwell: Elevation 1 ft. above normal, water 57 and
murky. Black bass fair on spinnerbaits and topwaters; crappie good
on minnows and jigs; saugeye fair on jigs and crankbaits.
Copan: Channel catfish good on shad; crappie fair, 7-8 ft., in
the creek and river channels and in coves.
Eucha: Elevation normal, water 54 and clear. All fishing
reported good.
Fort Gibson: Elevation 1 ft. above normal, water 53 and clear.
Sand bass good on plastic twister tails and minnows in the creek
channels; channel catfish good on cut bait; crappie good on minnows
and jigs, 4-6 ft., near brushpiles and shoreline.
Grand: Sand bass good on spinnerbaits in the upper river;
channel catfish fair on juglines and trotlines, 5-10 ft.; crappie
fair on minnows and jigs, 8-10 ft., near brushpiles.
Greenleaf: Black bass fair on jerkbaits and crankbaits near
riprap and shoreline; crappie good on minnows and jigs near fishing
docks and brushpiles.
Hudson: Black bass good on spinnerbaits and plastic worms; sand
bass good on small jigs and crankbaits in the upper end; catfish
good on cut shad.
Keystone: Elevation 6 ft. above normal, water 52 and muddy. Sand
bass good on jigs in the creek channels; channel catfish good on
cut shad in the river channels.
Oologah: Elevation 2 ft. above normal. Sand bass fair in the
Verdigris River; crappie fair on minnows and jigs, 3-4 ft., in
creeks and below the dam.
Skiatook: Elevation normal, water murky. Black bass fair on
spinnerbaits and jerkbaits in the creeks and in shallow water;
crappie good on minnows and jigs.
Sooner: Sand bass and hybrids fair on deep-running crankbaits
and live bait in the discharge canal; crappie fair on minnows and
jigs over brushpiles.
Spavinaw: Elevation normal, water 54 and clear. All fishing
reported good.
Tenkiller: Water clear. Black bass fair on small spinnerbaits
and plastic worms, 8-12 ft.; sand bass excellent on small
spinnerbaits and jigs in deep holes; channel catfish fair; crappie
good in minnows and jigs, 5-12 ft., near cover.
Webbers Falls: Black bass fair on spinnerbaits and crankbaits
near riprap; sand bass fair on spinnerbaits and Roostertails in the
creek channels; channel catfish good on cut bait on bottom.
SOUTHEAST
Atoka: Elevation 9 ft. below normal, water 60. Crappie fair on
live minnows in Mill Creek and at the Hwy. 43 landing.
Broken Bow: Elevation normal, water 62 and clear. Black bass
fair off points. Crappie fair on jigs in the creek channels.
Eufaula: Elevation 1 ft. above normal, water clear in the East
and murky in the West. Black bass good on soft plastic baits and
spinnerbaits in shallow water; sand bass good in creeks and below
the dam; channel catfon 3 ft. above normal, water 55. Black bass fair on
spinnerbaits; crappie good on live minnows.
McGee Creek: Elevation normal, water 59 and clear. Black bass
fair on spinnerbaits and soft plastic lures, 1-6 ft.
Pine Creek: Elevation 2 ft. above normal water 56 and clear.
Black bass fair on crankbaits and spinnerbaits, off points and in
creek channels; crappie good on minnows and jigs in creek channels.
Robert S. Kerr: Elevation normal, water 58 and murky. Black bass
fair on soft plastic baits and spinnerbaits, 6-8 ft., in weedbeds;
sand bass good on shad type lures in the major tributaries; channel
catfish good on shad, 15-30 ft., in the river channel; crappie good
on small minnows, 3-6 ft., near weedbeds and stump fields.
Sardis: Elevation 1 ft. above normal, water 59 and murky. Black
bass good on soft plastic lures, 6-10 ft.; sand bass good on inline
spinners (white or pink); crappie good on minnows and jigs, 3-8
ft., over brushpiles.
Texoma: Elevation 2 ft. below normal, water 62 and clear. Black
bass good on spinnerbaits, 5-10 ft., off points; sand bass good on
sassy shad, 10 ft., off points; striped bass good on live shad,
15-20 ft., near islands; channel catfish good on cut bait, 5-10
ft., in the Washita River; crappie good on minnows, 10-15 ft.
Wister: Elevation 1 ft. above normal, water murky. Black bass
good on dark spinnerbaits, 6-10 ft.; channel catfish good on shad,
14-22 ft., on trotlines; crappie good on minnows, 8-12 ft., near
brushpiles.
NORTHWEST
Canton: Elevation 1 ft. above normal. Sand bass and hybrids
fair; crappie fair on minnows and jigs over brushpiles; walleye
good off the dam.
Fort Supply: Elevation normal. Sand bass fair on jigs and
spinnerbaits near the dam.
Great Salt Plains: Elevation above normal, water murky. Channel
catfish fair on shad and stinkbaits.
SOUTHWEST
Altus-Lugert: Channel catfish good in the north end; crappie
good on minnows and jigs near rocks; walleye good on minnows and
jigs around rocks early morning and late evenings.
Foss: Elevation normal. Hybrids fair on minnows off points on
the north shore; saugeye fair on minnows and jigs off points.
Fort Cobb: Sand bass good trolling small crankbaits in the
evenings along the dam; channel catfish fair on cut bait on jug
lines, 15-20 ft., in creek channels; crappie good on minnows and
jigs, 10-15 ft., near the marina.
Waurika: Elevation 3 ft. below normal. Hybrids good on sassy
shad near the dam; crappie good on minnows and jigs near the rocks.
All fishing is reported as slow at the following lakes: Arcadia,
Birch, Draper, Ellsworth, Hulah, Kaw, Oologah.
