CHECOTAH, Okla. (AP) -- Authorities said a man whose body was found in Lake Eufaula apparently drowned.

The Oklahoma Lake Patrol said no foul play is suspected in the death of Calvin Jay Christian, 58, of Checotah.

Christian's body was found near a boating and fishing dock eight miles west of Checotah about 12:15 a.m. Sunday.

Checotah police had asked the patrol to help look for a missing man thought to have drowned Saturday evening, the patrol said.

Rescuers began dragging the lake around midnight Saturday.
