(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Gasoline prices keep breaking records nationwide.
The AAA of Oklahoma says average prices at the pump are now the highest ever in the United States. And prices have soared by the biggest annual hike in history.
The AAA's fuel gauge survey for March shows that self-serve regular unleaded gasoline now averages a dollar-fifty-four-point-three cents a gallon nationally.
The previous record was a $1.38 a gallon in April of 1981. The average price of regular is up 17.6 cents a gallon since February 15th.
And gas prices have climbed by 57-point-three cents since March of last year, when gas was 97 cents a gallon.
