(Guthrie-AP) -- A Guthrie woman has been charged in the death of a passenger killed while the woman was allegedly driving drunk.

Twenty-three-year-old Chasity Lynn Hampton is charged with first-degree manslaughter in the July traffic death of 25-year-old Richard Ortiz of Guthrie.

The accident occurred on the southbound exit ramp of Interstate 35 onto the Kilpatrick Turnpike. Hampton allegedly lost control of her sport utility vehicle, which rolled.

Court documents indicate that Ortiz was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected. Hampton was wearing a seatbelt. She and another passenger were also injured.
