(Oklahoma City-AP) -- The judge overseeing the preliminary hearing for bombing conspiratory Terry Nichols has quashed
subpoenas issued to dozens of newspapers.

Nichols' attorneys had sought everything ever published or broadcast about the Oklahoma City bombing.

Judge Robert Murphy Junior quashed the newspaper subpoenas but urged them to cooperate with defense attorneys on retrieving
editorial cartoons about the bombing. Those generally can't be retrieved through electronic sources.

Murphy released television stations from the subpoenas and instructed defense attorneys to obtain information from the Historical Society.

The judge instructed radio stations to provide the defense with copies of their broadcast logs, which describe the nature and time
various programs were aired.
