(Oklahoma City-AP) -- The state's largest hog producer has been fined more than 30-thousand dollars for three spills in October. Seaboard Farms will pay fines stemming from the spills at the Dorman Sow Farm in Beaver County in the Panhandle.
Three fines totaling more than 20-thousand dollars were assessed for the spills. One of the spills let 150-thousand gallons of pig effluent drain from a lagoon which created a 25-thousand square foot pool of effluent. Another ten-thousand dollar fine was assessed because Seaboard failed to install odor abatement equipment for the digest lagoon sat facility.
