(Camilla, Georgia-AP) -- Officials are continuing to survey the damage from the deadly tornadoes that ripped through southwest Georgia early Monday.
But a Red Cross official says a preliminary assessment has found about 200 structures were destroyed, and more than 160 damaged.
The tornadoes killed at least 22 people and injured more than 100. In the town of Camilla alone, dozens of houses and mobile homes were flattened.
Georgia Governor Roy Barnes -- who flew over to assess the damage -- has declared four counties disaster areas.
The twisters were the deadliest in the state since 1936. One Red Cross volunteer says they hit both the rich and the poor.
