Doctor now under investigation in alleged drug-selling incident

(Claremore-AP) -- Authorities say a Claremore doctor has been ordered to stop prescribing drugs and is under investigation after a local school official was arrested for selling prescription drugs to undercover agents. Susan Ledbetter has not yet been charged, but investigators say she sold Lortab pills to agents and arranged for them to take her car so she could report it stolen.

Now, the state Board of Osteopath Examiners says Doctor Warner Marlar is under investigation for possible license violations related to the incident. Narcotics agents detained Marlar Thursday morning and notified him that his permits to prescribe medicine have been revoked.
