(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Oklahoma City bomber Tim McVeigh is seeking more time to file his last appeal. McVeigh has until March eighth to file the appeal. But his new attorneys say they want until September 8th to review case records and assess the job done by McVeigh's trial attorneys.

In seeking the extension, his attorneys tell federal judge Richard Matsch that this case is "exceptional." In his final appeal, McVeigh is expected to complain about his former lead attorney, Stephen Jones. McVeigh is awaiting execution for the April 1995 bombing that killed 168 people.
