(Wister-AP) -- Parents of a Wister fourth-grader forced to clean a toilet with his hands say the teacher involved should be fired or resign. Terry and Thelma Harris told the Wister School Board last night that the punishment their son received for using too much toilet paper was cruel, disgusting and dirty.
Thelma Harris says when her son returned to class he told the teacher about the clogged toilet. She says the teacher told the boy to get a trash can and clean out the toilet. His mother says the boy requested that the teacher call the janitor. But she says the teacher ignored the request and ordered him to clean it out instead.
The Harrises say since the incident, other students have ridiculed their son and they've removed him from classes. The couple says they'll be at next month's board meeting to find out what punishment the teacher
