If you live in Northwest Tulsa you probably already know your phone is not working.

Police say a construction crew accidentally cut a large cable Saturday morning knocking out phone service from 4900 west avenue to 2500 west avenue, north of Edison.

They say if you need emergency assistance go to fire station number 13 at 345 South and 41st West Avenue. Or fire station number two at 524 West Edison. You can also go to Quiktrip at 229 North Gilcrease Road. Git-N-Go at 2301 West Edison and the former Food Lion at 1700 West Pine.

Officers will be at each of these locations until the phone service is returned.

Southwestern Bell says they will have crews working around the clock until the line is fixed which they say could be as late as Monday morning.
