(Washington-AP) -- Attorney General Janet Reno plans to meet tomorrow with the grandmothers of Elian Gonzalez.

The meeting at the Justice Department in Washington will also include the commissioner of the Immigration and Naturalization Service.

The two grandmothers arrived in New York today to personally appeal for the return of their grandson to Cuba.

Elian's maternal grandmother says the boy's late mother will not "rest in peace" until he's back in his homeland.

Raquel Rodriguez maintained that her daughter was forced to go on the journey to the U-S by her boyfriend, whom she said was
violent and threatening. Both died along with nine other people when the boat capsized. Elian was found clinging to an inner tube off the Florida coast.

The I-N-S has ruled the boy should go back to Cuba. But Reno has extended the I-N-S deadline to allow his Miami relatives to sue.
