Tulsa car service launches full-service site

(Tulsa-AP) -- Get the weather, rent a car or book airline tickets when Dollar Rent a Car Systems Incorporated debuts its full-service travel web site today. The Tulsa-based company said it will be the first Internet travel site sponsored by a car rental company.

Consumers can click on DollarTravel.com to book airline tickets, hotel rooms and rental cars. Company officials say weather, local attractions and maps also will be available for hundreds of travel destinations. Dollar is a subsidiary of Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group Incorporated. It is the fourth largest publicly traded U-S rental car company. It employs more than 1,500 people in Tulsa and 5,000 worldwide.
