Former Heavyweight Champion of the World Muhammed Ali once adjusted Howard Cosell's hair while Cosell was on the air. Photo from early 1970's.

(Norman-AP) -- A Norman man will play the legendary sportscaster Howard Cosell in the upcoming A-B-C T-V movie about boxer Cassius Clay who is now known as Muhammed Ali. Darryl Cox will play Cosell in the movie titled "King of the World."

The film details events leading up to the classic 1964 boxing match between Clay and Sonny Liston. Cosell did the radio commentary on the match. The match resulted in Clay's emergence as heavyweight champion of the world.

Cox is an experienced professional actor who has had roles in several feature films and television shows. He spent about a week on location in Houston. He is an adjunct professor of on-camera acting at the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma City University. "King of the World" is slated to air on A-B-C on January 10th.
