Most of the world's financial markets will be put to the Y-2-K test for real Monday the first day of business for them since the new year. But in the Middle East, banks and stock exchanges are already doing business Sunday and they're reporting no signs of Y-2-K computer problems.
In Israel, government agencies and businesses say there have been no Y-2-K malfunctions.
The stock markets in Kuwait and Egypt were among the first in the world to open in 2000.
Both countries say they've successfully bypassed any Y-2-K related problems.
