MCALESTER, Okla. (AP) -- A McAlester teacher and assistant coach has been arrested on child pornography complaints after police found videotapes at his residence, authorities said. A tip led officers to Todd L. Quinton, who was taken into custody Wednesday.

McAlester Police Chief Dale Nave declined to comment on whether the juveniles on the tape were from the area or whether the tapes were homemade videos or pre-recorded tapes.

Quinton has been with McAlester Public Schools since 1994. He works as a social studies teacher at McAlester High School, Dr. Lucy Smith, superintendent, said.

He is also the sponsor for the McAlester chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, a weight training coach, an assistant coach for the ninth grade football team and the eighth grade baseball team and an elementary school basketball team.
