Nurses at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa have voted to let the Teamsters' Union represent them.
The nurses voted 283 in favor of the union to 210 opposed in the two day election supervised by the National Labor Relations Board. Seven ballots were challenged, but they will not affect the outcome.
Teamsters' Local 523 President Coleman Davis said he is extremely pleased with the outcome and he looks forward to working with the nurses at Hillcrest.
The hospital has until Dec. 13th to decide whether to file objections to the election.
