A two-year-old girl is safe and back with her parents today after a grocery store employee helped stop a possible abduction.
Zubair Fattani heard an Amber Alert on radio station KRLD Sunday morning while he was working at the Northside Grocery in Wylie. The alerts are designed to notify the public quickly when children are missing.
Fattani called police when he recognized the man and car described in the alert.
Wylie police officers arrived in less than a minute and arrested Anthony Ray Carter, a former boyfriend of the mother who apparently took the little girl while the mother was asleep.
