Football was far from the minds of Texas A-and-M football players today as they prepare for what may be their most emotional game of the season.
Eleven Aggies died in yesterday's bonfire wood pile collapse.
A-and-M next Friday takes on the University of Texas.
Players met today with Aggie coach R.C. Slocum -- and then quietly dispersed.
Slocum says most of the players are still in a state of shock.
He says young people tend to consider that it's old people who die.
A-and-M will resume practice tomorrow.
Quarterback Randy McCown says he thinks the people who died -- would have wanted the team to play.
McCown says the least the Aggies could give back would be to go and beat Texas.
