A former Koch Oil executive testified today
that workers in the field told him that adjusting oil measurements was an industry practice.

Darrel Brubaker was a vice president of Koch Oil, which is a subsidiary of Koch Industries. Brubaker told a federal jury that gaugers who came to work for Koch discussed their measuring practices at other companies.

Brubaker said Koch used similar guidelines.

Koch is accused of underreporting the amount and quality of oil it purchased from producers in 13 states in the 1980s.

According to a civil lawsuit, the adjustments resulted in (m) millions of dollars worth of oil that Koch did not pay for.
