Professional wrestler Bill Goldberg is asking Governor Keating to take a stand against cockfighting.

The popular wrestler is an Oklahoma native and has been supporting an anti-cockfighting petition drive in Oklahoma.

Goldberg has written a letter asking for the governor's support. Goldberg says the fact that cockfighting is legal is a black eye for Oklahoma.

He says the governor can help mitigate damage to the state's reputation by backing the effort to outlaw cockfighting.

Goldberg has been working to ban cockfighting at the request of the Humane Society of the United States.
