A man who claimed his 15 year old brother's weekend shooting death was an accident was arrested Monday on a first degree murder complaint. James Bunnell, is accused in the death of Brandon Bunnell, who was shot to death as he slept on a sofa. Rogers Co Sheriff's Department investigator Larry Elkin said investigation of the crime scene and development of other evidence eliminated the initial belief that the shooting was accidental. Bunnell told authorities that he had took a revolver into the yard to shoot a skunk, but tripped when he came back in the house and accidentally discharged the weapon. His brother was shot in the top of the head. Elkin said Bunnell's "story didn't match up with the physical evidence at the scene." Bunnell, who still maintains the shooting was an accident, was being held without bail. Elkin said formal charges are pending.
