TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) -- A small pipe bomb exploded today in a
restroom at Florida A&M University, the second blast in less than a
month at the historically black school.

No injuries were reported. Damage seemed minor and there was no
fire, said fire Capt. Cindy Dick.

Warning calls were made about both explosions but authorities
would not provide any details about today's caller. In the earlier
explosion, on Aug. 31, a caller used a racial slur and said he
wanted to "get rid of" some of the people at the school.

"There are obvious, common sense connections you could make,"
said Byron Price, Tallahassee supervisor of the FBI. However, he
said authorities didn't have any concrete evidence linking the two
explosions.

Today's bomb went off on the first floor of Perry Paige Hall,
which has four floors of laboratories, offices, classrooms and the
Navy ROTC office.

Paige Hall and two nearby buildings were evacuated, said
university spokesman Eddie Jackson.

Jackson said today's explosion appeared to be bigger than the
one in August, which caused minor damage in a first-floor men's
room at an administrative building. No one was injured.

A $10,000 reward was offered after the first bombing.

The university has about 12,000 students and 119 buildings on
its campus.

"Everyone is pretty upset," said senior Olevia Robinson. "The
next time someone might definitely get hurt."
