(St. Cloud, Minnesota-AP) -- A "Star Trek" fan from Minnesota is going where few stamp-lovers have gone before.
Bill Kraft will be honored today for his efforts to get the Postal Service to issue a Star Trek stamp.
His efforts paid off when the public voted on new stamps celebrating each decade of the century. A Star Trek stamp was among the winning images for the 1960s series.
Kraft became a "Trekkie" after watching the 1979 movie, "Star Trek--The Motion Picture."
The St. Cloud Post Office will present Kraft with a framed sheet of the 1960s stamps this afternoon.
