(Norman-AP) -- University of Oklahoma officials have announced today that the Oklahoma versus Baylor football game Saturday is sold-out.
There were a limited number of tickets set aside for last-minute orders. Those are now gone.
Coach Bob Stoops says the sell-out "is incredible." Stoops says the fans were a large part of the win last week and he hopes the fans will take an active role Saturday.
He says the job they need to do becomes much easier when the opponent is outnumbered by 72-thousand.
A few single-game tickets remain for the Missouri contest on November sixth in Norman. Tickets to the Texas A-and-M and Oklahoma State contest can be obtained only by being a season ticket holder. Season tickets can still be purchased for the final three home.
(Stillwater-AP) -- When Mississippi State coach Jackie Sherrill brings his squad to Stillwater Saturday, he will still be looking for his first win against the school.
Nevermind that Sherrill is the eighth-winningest coach on the N-C-A-A active coach roster.
The coach is oh-and-3 against Oklahoma State.
When Sherrill was at Texas A-and-M, he was beaten by O-S-U 34-to-15 and 52-to-15. Last year his 25th-ranked squad at Mississippi State was beaten 44-to-23.
The common denominator in the three games has been big performances by O-S-U tailbacks.
Sherrill's teams were victims of running back Shawn Jones in 1983, Heisman Trophy winner Barry Sanders in 1988 and Nathan Simmons and Jamaal Fobbs last year.
