(Tulsa-AP) -- A bond issue is being proposed for renovation of Tulsa's Expo Square.
The Tulsa County Public Facilities Authority will consider a 21-point-5 million dollar revenue-backed bond issue. It would finance the first phase of large-scale capital improvements to remake Expo Square.
The first phase would include six million dollars spent to renovate the Pavilion. Construction of a new livestock arena and livestock barns would cost approximately 8-point-5 million dollars. And construction of a new fair midway and parking area would tally 2-point-5 million dollars.
The second phase of the master plan could include the construction of a new museum and interactive learning center. Renovation of the Exposition Building and improvements to the Oklahoma National Guard Armory are proposed.
