Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers are investigating an accident that shut down part of I-44 Sunday night.
It happened around 8:30 between 161st and 177th East Avenues in Rogers County. OHP troopers say a white car traveling eastbound was racing an SUV when the car crossed the median. It hit a westbound semi-truck that was hauling three other semi cabs.
Troopers say the collision caused the semi to lose control sending it across the eastbound lanes, up an embankment and through a fence.
The SUV driver left the scene. The drivers of the car and the semi were transported to the hospital.
