A Skiatook woman is dead and a man is in the Tulsa County jail after authorities say he ran over her, and then took her to the hospital.

Authorities say it happened Saturday night near the 4900 block of East 56th Street North. 45-year-old Gary McKenzie was arrested at Hillcrest Hospital after he brought in 32 year-old Tammy Renee Meyers.

The emergency room staff says he told them she jumped out of his vehicle, and he accidentally ran over her. The Tulsa County Sheriff's office is investigating.

McKenzie is being held on more than $7,000 in bail for driving without a license, and two drug-related complaints.
