Armed robbers target six Tulsa residents early Tuesday

A rash of armed robberies is under investigation by Tulsa Police. Police are looking right now for two men who committed six robberies in a span of a few hours Tuesday morning.

News on 6 crime reporter Lori Fullbright says detectives are just now getting all the reports and will begin interviews with the victims. Plus, they want people to be on the lookout for a silver or tan 2000 Saturn with Texas plates.

The first robbery happened in south Tulsa at two Tuesday morning, when a man was robbed by two men in the parking lot of the River Chase Apartments at 76th and Victor. Both men were carrying handguns; both were between 19 and 23 years old.

Another man was robbed a few minutes later in the parking lot of the Royal Oaks Condominiums at 66th and Zunis just a few blocks away.

Tulsa Police believe it was the same man, one was wearing a black jacket with Denver Broncos on the back. Police then received a call from a newspaper carrier who was held up outside the Village Inn at 27th and Harvard while he was making his morning delivery. Jim Nixon: "They asked for my wallet and I said I don't have it so they asked for my money and then they said, ah, man, only 100 dollars then they said thanks, man and ran away."

But Tulsa Police say the men weren't finished yet. The men next tried to rob someone at the Shoreline Apartments, then two other robberies, ending with 7th and Harvard, seven robberies in five hours.

Tulsa Police hope someone will know who these men are and turn them in, before they have a chance to continue their crime spree.
