DUNCAN, Okla. (AP) -- A Duncan woman who was seriously burned by acid dropped from an interstate overpass has written a book about her ordeal.
Cindi Broaddus says she just wanted to tell her story in "A Random Act."
Broaddus was riding with Jim Maxwell to Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City on June fifth, 2001, when someone dropped a jar of acid from an overpass. The jar crashed through the windshield, seriously burning Broaddus' face and arms.
She's undergone 15 reconstructive surgeries. Maxwell was burned on his neck and arm.
No one has ever been arrested for the attack.
