A woman and her child are hospitalized early Thursday morning following a traffic accident.

They were on I-44 at the Arkansas River Bridge when they came up on a maintenance crew. The woman couldn't get over in time and hit a truck.

Emergency crews had to free the woman from the van.

There's no word on the victims conditions.
