Gas prices are on the rise and some analysts say they're going to keep going up. One industry analyst, in fact, says prices may jump 25 cents in the next week.

Oklahoma, where healthy competition helps keep our gas prices among the lowest in the country, analysts say there are a number a factors helping push prices up.

Chuck Mai with AAA Oklahoma: "there's a lot of uncertainty at the very time we're approaching the summer driving season and the switchover to the leaner burning fuels, and this is the time of year the last four or five years we've seen higher prices. Whether we'll see a 25 cents per gallon increase between now and summer I really doubt that."

According to a recent AAA survey, gas prices would have to jump to almost $2.50 before Oklahoma residents would change their driving habits.
