It's been one year since a city of Tulsa ordinance went into effect requiring companies to pay the bill when Tulsa's hazardous materials team is called to a scene.

In the past 12 months, 93 local companies were billed a total of $190,000. The biggest bill was for $80,000 to the Davis Oil Company.

Tulsa companies who may need haz-mat assistance at any time are encouraged to pay a fee up front to avoid the expense of a haz-mat clean-up call.
