One person has been injured in an explosion at an oil field equipment company. It happened late Monday afternoon in the town of Weatherford which is west of Oklahoma City.

The fire broke out at the Hamm and Phillips Service Company. It took crews until about 8 Monday night to bring it under control. The injured person was taken to the hospital by a private vehicle; there is no word on their condition.

The cause of the explosion is under investigation.
