Broken Arrow Police may have broken the case of the runaway bulldozer that crashed through two houses. Meanwhile, those homeowners are putting the pieces together again.

News on 6 reporter Steve Berg says the good news is Michelle Hammond has a comfortable spot to watch her big screen TV. The bad news is her bed is in her living room. "And our bedroom furniture is in the garage and go out in the garage and get dressed in the morning and come into the powder bathroom and fix my hair. It's as close to possible as normal as we can get right now."

A month ago, someone started a construction bulldozer and sent it crashing through Hammond's neighbor's house and then through her bedroom wall. Much of the damage has been repaired. But as she discovered during a thunderstorm earlier this week, her nerves are still a little frayed. "When we heard the thunder and lightning, we were all, didn't have a good night's sleep because you hear these noises and it brings back those memories. More than anything, I’m still nervous."

Broken Arrow Police say they're close to sending the case to the District Attorney. Broken Arrow Police Captain Paul Kroutter: "Right now, detectives are following up their investigation, finishing it; they should be presenting some charges in the very near future, probably next week."

Michelle Hammond: "I would love to know who did it, so it won't happen again." And she wonders if it will happen again. “I'm angry because these bulldozers are so easily accessible. I'm still angry about that, but they've just told me that's just the way it is, and it's not going to change."

She hopes the only dozing that goes on is in front of the TV. "And I have my head right there, so I can watch whenever I’m sleeping."
