Four members of the Tulsa fugitive squad received the Tulsa Police Department's second highest honor Thursday, the Medal of Valor.

Tulsa Police chief Dave Been presented the medal of valor to Officers Victor Regalado, Gary Pitts and Mark Kennedy and Phil Forbrich. The men got into a shooting with a man who'd murdered a key witness in another murder case and did two other shootings, all in one weekend.

Tulsa Police Sgt Chris Witt: "Outstanding bravery, heroism, personal courage, devotion of duty. These four officers stopped a dangerous murderer from continuing to threaten and harm the citizens of Tulsa."

As a show of support, Tulsa businessman Jeff Jackson, who owns the Sports FanAttic and Billy Sims Bar-B-Que restaurants in Broken Arrow and Tulsa, sponsored the awards luncheon for free.
