Another group has come forward, denouncing the effort to recall two Tulsa City councilors.
Thursday, the group called Just Progress, says they believe the current attempt to recall councilors Chris Medlock and Jim Mautino is misguided and will set a dangerous precedent.
Gary Allison, Just Progress chairman: "While the city councilors who are the targets of the current recall effort have displayed poor people skills, and certainly have cast controversial votes, there is no evidence or accusations that they engaged in any wrongdoing immoral activity."
Just Progress stresses that it is not telling people to not vote. It is encouraging people to vote, but to vote against the recall effort.
Just Progress is an organization of concerned Oklahomans, who does not support Republican officeholders or candidates.
