Tulsa Police officers will soon be the men and women in blue after years of wearing green shirts and brown pants.

The department's uniform committee had been looking at making a change and Police chief Dave Been approved the move Tuesday.

In addition to the color change, the current patch will be replaced with a new one.

The uniform change likely won't take place until 2006.
