The city of Sapulpa is gearing up for the summer season.

They broke ground Tuesday on a new water playground at Liberty Park. The Rotary Club in Sapulpa has been raising money for the "splash pad" for more than two years. Tuesday, their efforts paid off.

Judy Rothrock with the Sapulpa Rotary Club: "Tulsa has several splash pads. Go to one itâ€™s packed. Grandmothers like me have alot of fun."

Over $150,000 was raised from local foundations, fund raisers and individuals.
