NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ Oklahoma softball coach Patty Gasso passes the 500-win mark as the Sooners pound Lipscomb 11-to-1.

She added win number 501 later in the day yesterday when O-U beat Creighton 8-nothing.

The victories came during the O-U/Nike Classic at the O-U Softball Complex.

The game against Lipscomb ended after five innings due to the eight-run mercy rule. The win against Creighton ended after the sixth inning.

Gasso's record as O-U coach moved to 501-166-and-1 over 11 seasons.

Oklahoma -- now 7-and-4 -- continues tournament play at 2-30 today with another game against Creighton.
