Friedman's wants to close several of its jewelry stores in eastern Oklahoma.

The company is seeking bankruptcy court approval to close stores in Muskogee, McAlester, Sallisaw and Stillwater. The company also wants to close 8 other stores in the Oklahoma City.

The stores would stay open until they sell all their merchandise.
