New information on the Sand Springs girl police say was abducted by her non-custodial mother.
Witnesses say 8-year old Alyssa Henderson was waiting for the bus by her home Tuesday morning, when her biological mother pulled up in a truck, jumped out and grabbed her.
Alyssa's sister heard screaming and saw the girl trying to run. Her mother, Tina Lambert, doesn't have legal rights to Alyssa. Sand Springs Police say this isn't the first time the mother has tried to abduct Alyssa. Police say Lambert has a criminal record and a protective order against her for threatening her family.
Family members fear for the girl’s safety. Alyssa’s sister Meagan Henderson: “We need to get her home because this woman's capable of anything or hurting herself or my little sister or hurting other people, but I'm really worried about my little sister."
The little girl was last seen in a small white 2-door car Tuesday afternoon at the Garden Ridge on 169th and 51st. Alyssa might be wearing jeans, and orange jacket and blue T-shirt.
If you have any information, you can call the Sand Spring Police Department at 246-2544.
